Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide.
We are currently searching for an Operations Manager to join our team at our Sidney Plant in Sidney, OH.

What you will do:
  • Directly manages the supervisor staff across 3 shifts
  • Manages, monitors, and controls material, labor, and overhead costs in respective area.
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
  • Has overall ownership of the operations team.
  • Develops, reviews, and maintains budgets and expenses for department.
  • Maintains appropriate level of staff support necessary to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Monitors productivity and recommends changes, where necessary.
  • Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and/or customers.
  • Supports and complies with TS16949, ISO14001, and EHS standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Works with other managers to achieve continuous improvement and cost reduction objectives
  • Develops and supports a dynamic working relationship with the UAW Committee members and ensures contract provisions are followed 
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a unionized, just in time manufacturing environment
Travel Requirements:
Limited travel (including overnight travel) may be necessary
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Proven leadership skills and abilities
  • Excellent team building and employee engagement skill set
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of the TS16949 and ISO14001 standards
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends when necessary
  • Experience and/or certification in a Lean discipline is preferred.
