We are currently searching for a Materials Planner to join our team at our Auria Old Fort Plant in Old Fort, NC.


What you will do:

 

  • Assist in any Supplier material / fabrication obsolescence claims. 
  • Coordinate any supplier shortage issues 
  • Specific Customer Service responsibilities include: 
  • Act as a primary plant contact for the supply base 
  • Schedule part numbers in windows for assembly/production 
  • Assist in managing PCO/PCR changes for components & finished goods ensuring proper part number set up 
  • Track and forecast future demand for planning purposes 
  • Logistics management for deliveries as well as unplanned shipments 
  • Maintain accurate inventories of component materials and finished good product 
  • Work very closely with Manufacturing Operations and other departments concerning materials management and delivery performance 
  • Specific Materials Responsibilities: 
  • Assist in scheduling raw materials to support pilot and production requirements utilizing MRP.  Assist in converting the output of the MRP process to supplier schedules and assist in ensuring every production supplier receives an updated release every week. 
  • Ensure the planning parameter used in the PLEX system based on the suppliers historical ability to ship on time. 
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding delivery, quantity shipped and purchased materials 
  • Assist in managing Engineering Changes as it relates to materials 
  • Assist in material set up of new product launch 
  • Assist with inventory with accuracy.  
  • Adjust inventory according to cycle counts 
  • Investigate any large variances 
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

 

  • High school diploma 
  • Associate’s degree in supply chain or business management preferred. 

 

 Travel Requirements: 

 

  • Some daily and/or overnight travel may be necessary

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

 

  • 1 year experience in supply chain management
  • Proficient with MS Excel and Word 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, multi-task and follow directions 
  • Experience with PLEX, MP2 and AS400. 
  • Ability to set priorities 
  • To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement. 
  • To exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment. 
  • Must be able to function in a fast pace and high demanding environment
