With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide.

We are currently searching for CI Technician to join our team at our Spartanburg Plant in Spartanburg SC


What you will do:

  • Support Engineering and Maintenance on process improvement projects as a subject matter expert on the process or operation
  • Assist in the development of work instructions
  • Act as a trainer on processes and machines as required
  • Maintain detailed records of process changes, improvements, and outcomes for reference and reporting. Ensure that documentation is accessible and up to date.
  • Participate in Fresh Eyes events, Kaizens, and any other CI events
  • Lead and participate in kaizen on the plant floor to improve process and machines
  • Update reports as required, collecting key data and providing actions items to meet key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Participate in safety and quality problem solving events to identify corrective actions. Support the implementation of those corrective actions.

What you will bring:

  • Previous experience in Engineering Technician or Team Lead Role
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably a tier 1 automotive supplier
  • High School Diploma
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Ability to work in front of a computer screen 8 hours or more per day
  • Ability to move around in office environment as needed to complete job duties. This may involve the need to climb stairs
  • Ability to move around on production floor as needed to complete job duties. This may involve the need to climb stairs or ladders
  • Must be able to fully comply with all applicable safety requirements and policies
  • Ability to safely lift 30lbs without restrictions Ability to stand\walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work weekends/overtime or off-shift as needed
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent attendance record

  • Basic understanding of 5S Principles

 

Competencies:

  • Demonstrate basic math and advanced measurement skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully both independently with minimal supervision, as well as within a team environment
  • Working knowledge of Safety, Health and Environment principles and practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
