We are currently searching for Customs and Logistic Specialist to join our team in Mexico. This role will be responsible for
Customs Compliance management for US Customs with focus on content reporting for the OEM's. Collection of finished good HTS codes, raw material HTS codes, manufacturing affidavits, certificates of origin. Follow up of duties and customs expenses paid by Auria. Follow up on Region Value requests by Customers. Review of import operations performed by Customer´s agents on behalf of Auria.  Operational customs support for US plants
 
General Responsibilities
 
  • Follow up on reviews of OEM content requests and Customer portals
  • Build of a catalog of all US raw materials identifying contacts, HTS code, producer location, country of origin, fair market value, and include transportation methods for all US Locations
  • Management of activities to obtain maintain certificates of origin for imported materials for all US Locations
  • Validation of BOM's and supporting documentation of country of origin by supplier
  • Broker invoice/payments review and Statements of Account validation or corrections
  • Management of the ACE portal account for customs payments direct to the US GOVT
  • Coordiate and implement centralized activities to issue Certificates of origin to OEM's
  • Management and admininstration of database of Raw/Finished goods
  • C-TPAT  Audit and administration for US locations
  • Daily review of imports to the US by sea, air, and ground
  • Review monthly reports from ACE for duty reduction opportunities
  • Monthly C-TPAT reviews and training with the US plants
  • Administration of Temporary Import Bonds (TIB) for tooling from Foreign Countries-USA-MEXRun and mantain records of  LVC centralized for US locations
Requirements: 
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: 
  • 3+ years in logistics and customs.
  • Experience in international trade industries.
  • AP Related activities (PO´S, Invoices, SOA´s)
Skills: 
  • Knowledge of customs and logistics regulations.
  • Excellent communication and coordination.

  • Knowledge of logistics and customs software.

  • Customs regulations (FTA, NAFTA, etc.).
