Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide.
We are currently searching for Materials Manager to join our team at our Fremont Plant in Fremont, Ohio.

What you will do:
  • Develops subordinates and administers human resources programs as they relate to performance and compensation management, utilization of training resources, and the application of company policies and procedures for the materials group; includes periodic involvement in the hiring of employees.
  • Develops, administers, and is accountable for operating within constraints of approved operating budget.
  • Maintains optimal inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges.
  • Oversees design and implementation of all packaging/packaging functions.
  • Oversees and ensures proper production control planning and scheduling of programs.
  • Oversees the purchasing and/or contracting for materials for the operation of the company in addition to all inventory items.
  • Communicates and aligns employees with organizational goals; develops employees through guidance and training; works to maintain a positive management/union relationship.
  • Manages the shipping, receiving and logistics functions of the company.
  • Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials pricing trends that affect company products.
  • Carries out assigned functions described in Policies, Procedures, and Quality Manuals, and implements procedures and/or work instructions in accordance with IATF standards.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Make recommendations, plans and suggestions that promote continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Assure compliance with OSHA, ISO and Corporate Safety and Housekeeping requirements and policies as well as Plant Safety Goals.
  • Responsible for updating Ford, Chrysler, and GM MMOG online self-assessment scores contact information
  • Any other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or equivalent required. APICS certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience in inventory control, production planning, material handling, and shipping preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Priority setting and time management skills.
  • Hands on MRP planning system experience required.
  • Automotive Tier 1 experience with multiple OEMS.
  • Familiarity with automotive EDI systems.
  • Evidence of strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication, problem solving and leadership skills necessary.
  • Strong personal computer (PC) skills utilizing Windows software applications.
  • Must be able to work well in a team-oriented environment.
