We are currently searching for a Quality Engineer to join our team at our Auria Sidney Plant in Sidney, Ohio..
What you will do:
- Apply fundamental understanding of quality principles, systems, and tools to build quality into the plant processes and products
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of PFMEA's and Control Plans
- Manage customer specific systems in relationship to quality functions
- Promote positive working relationships with internal and external customers through a proactive approach and the proper application of internal and customer mandated systems and tools, as required
- Use appropriate problem-solving methodology to assess, root cause, and correct quality deficiencies exhibited in plant processes of products: 5Why, Ishikawa, 5P etc.
- Promote and audit for adherence to the plant documented IATF corporate and plant level procedures, as required. IATF or similar audit experience preferred but not required.
- Use proper measurement instruments and statistical analysis tools to quantify and qualify products produced as required
- Create a work environment that drives continuous improvement and teamwork
- Provide input to the daily accountability meetings, as required
- Ability to complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) per customer requirements
- Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:
- A minimum of 6 years of quality engineering experience
- Knowledge of IATF16949-2016 Standard
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong interpersonal skills, including good written and verbal communication skills
Travel Requirements: Some daily and/or overnight travel may be necessary
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- IATF or similar audit experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of both attribute & variable data MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
- Tier 1 automotive experience with working knowledge of customer systems
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paces team-oriented environment
