Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide.
We are currently searching for Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at our Location Name Plant in Fremont, Ohio.

What you will do:
  • Responsible for overall plant performance for CI activities, meeting profit plan goals, driving open action items to completion, and CI steering committee meetings.
  • Lead change to improve organizational effectiveness. Drive the change management necessary to implement effective programs and a continuous improvement focused culture.
  • Create strategies to optimize workflow, processes, and reduce scrap.
  • Establish metrics to monitor financial savings and other key performance indicators (KPIs) 
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to make sustainable improvements. 
  • Ensure that appropriate safety and ergonomic processes are being used.
  • Participate in accident, near-hit accident, or potential hazard investigations as needed.
  • Maintain reporting and accuracy of Kaizen Measurables and CI metrics, including on time administration of AURIA Production System, and development of future state plans and manufacturing strategies. 
  • Hands on experience in Operations, Supply Chain, and/or Engineering.
  • Co-develop training and developmental materials to include job aids/single point lessons.
  • Using engineering and continuous improvement techniques, establish optimum manufacturing cell configuration (creation of most efficient manufacturing cell from material inflow, through production, to outflow). Determine product flow by evaluating resource requirements, material flow, packaging, flow racks, equipment rates, and ergonomic considerations.  
  • Facilitate advanced problem-solving and analysis of specific improvement opportunities leading to the implementation of effective sustainable solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and analyze process improvement opportunities leading to the implementation of effective sustainable solutions.
  • Conduct data analysis to assess current processes and measure performance metrics.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree
  • Lean/six sigma certification
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and measurement techniques
  • Prior Plant Management Experience
  • Desire and ability to progress within the organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Minimum 5 years of combined, senior level, plant leadership experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials / Logistics.
  • Proven success in driving cost savings, scrap reduction, and optimizing business processes.
  • Excellent project management, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools. 
  • Must have Tier1 automotive experience.
