With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide.

We are currently searching for Process Engineer to join our team at our Holmesville Plant in Holmesville, OH.


Responsibilities Overview:

  • Initiates and coordinates Productivity Projects with minimal direction and is accountable for meeting agreed upon productivity improvement objectives.  Apply lean manufacturing principles to plant processes.
  • Analyze and monitor cost variances. Work closely with manufacturing personnel and Process Engineering Manager to reduce variances and drive cost improvement.
  • Develop methods and procedures which comply with TS16949 and ISO14001.  Write formal procedures as necessary for existing or new operations.
  • Participate in and lead Kaizen events.
  • Perform work center standardization to improve ergonomics and productivity.
  • Assist Production Department with the solution of operational problems and quality issues.
  • Participate in designing and improving the logical flow of material in the plant as it impacts plant layout, and inventory levels. Complete special projects as assigned by manager.
  • Support product launches and lead production trial runs.  Participate in production launch teams.
  • Lead and/or participate in cost and productivity improvement projects.
  • Manage capital projects within budget and time constraints.
  • Quote labor hours and new capital requirements for potential new business.  Review and approve new tooling layouts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required. 
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer or equivalent in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word PowerPoint, Outlook).  Knowledge of, or ability and desire to learn AutoCAD.  
  • Must be able to build a positive rapport with production employees as well as all levels of the organization.
