Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide.

We are currently searching for Senior Manager, Sustainability to join our team in Europe. This position can be based at any of our European plants, reporting to the Global Sustainability Director and the EVP of Europe.


Responsibilities Overview:

                      Global responsible for Scope 3 management – Analytics, Reporting, Reduction Strategy

                      Global responsibility to prepare sustainability focused communication strategy

                      Drive sustainability in Innovations through processes and programs

                      Head of Sustainability EU – Lead EU sustainability team, Sustainability engagement programs for EU leadership team, Overarching responsibility for Key KPIs management for EU plants

                      Transform Auria’s business processes to state-of-the-art sustainability capabilities

                      Drive sustainability to create competitive advantage by leveraging sustainable materials and communications for Global Auria and business specific for EU

                      Drive and engage sustainability programs from Grassroot to Leadership in EU

                      Co-Develop sustainability organization setup for future operational outlook

Global Scope 3 and Communications (~45%)

                      Lead the multi-year supplier CO2 reduction program to achieve SBTi targets for Scope 3

                      Enable development of baseline for scope 3 carbon footprint and engage with engineering and product design teams to develop more sustainable innovations

                      Collaborate with suppliers and customers to identify and implement sustainability optimization strategies that reduce waste, enhance recyclability, and minimize CO2 impact.

                      Provide competitive intelligence to operations and engineering of new sustainable alternatives and solutions – play a pivotal role in speed to market – competitive advantage!

                      Support LCA, recycled content activities within the global sustainability team, engineering and operations

                      Develop Global sustainability communication (Internal and external) strategies in partnership with Corporate Communications

                      Proactively engage with commercial teams to identify and develop strategic messaging/proof points and engaging storytelling opportunities to promote Auria’s sustainability strategy and social/ environmental initiatives.

 

EU Sustainability: (~45%)

                      Be part of EU leadership team and deliver constant updates, educate and engage the leadership team with relevant activities and programs

                      Connect the EU leadership requirement with Global sustainability team and cross-functionally work with plant management, EHS and HR and vice versa

                      Approve all sustainability AMOS KPIs and ensure alignment with OPEX scorecard

                      Lead, manage and develop the EU sustainability team

                      Ensure individual roadmaps and targets are derived from the global sustainability strategy for EU contribution

                      Be the final point of approval for local SAQs and customer requests

                      Engage EU customers and build sustainability projects and programs

                      Take initiatives to organize customer sustainability programs together with the sales team on an annual basis

                      Continue to promote sustainability corporate initiatives in EU ex: Insect hotels, EV policy etc.

 

AD-HOC/ Miscellaneous topics: (~10%)

                      Support overarching global sustainability strategy activities

                      Be a part of the global sustainability leadership team

                      Individual learning on sustainability topics

 

Requirements:

                      Degree in, sustainability, environmental sciences, Marketing, chemical or process engineering, similar

                      Leader with self-starting capabilities, think strategically to develop competitive advantage

                      7-10 years of practical experience in sustainability management, marketing

                      Good understanding of regulatory requirements for automotive industry and sustainability frameworks

                      Leadership experience to manage people and lead cross-functionally.

                      Strong project management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

                      Advanced English language skills

                      Experience in handling audit management would be ideal
