Project Engineering Coordinator (PEC) Job Description

 

Responsibilities

  • Active participant in procurement process. (Focused on tooling)
    • Specification reviews,
    • Supplier Request for Quotes
    • Quotation reviews (cost, timing, and content)
    • Request for Purchase Orders
  • Project Coordinator activities (New tools and Engineering Changes)
    • Cross functional meetings (Responsible Lead and/or supporting participant)
    • Contact for Internal and external project support.
    • Constant monitor of the project KPI’s (cost, quality, and delivery)
    • Report out to Cross functional team of project status.
    • Keeping/sharing of the open issues list for each project.
    • Project Event participant (on-site / off-site as needed)
    • Conduct Design Acceptance, Pre-Acceptance and Final Acceptance Reviews.
    • Provide launch support to production facilities for new tooling.
  • Project Admin responsibilities.
    • Maintaining good records of specifications, project evidence.
    • Storing of incoming and out-going files in proper place/procedures.
    • General accounting responsibility, PO’s, Invoices, and record keeping.
  • Participant in Continuous improvement culture.
    • Provide technical input for new product quotes.
    • Provide input for warranty claims or tooling performance concerns.
    • Complete training and development activities as specified by management.
  • Other duties as required.

 Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Preferred B.S. in Technical Field.
  • Associates in Technical Field Required (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years automotive experience, preferably in a technical role.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking and organization skills.
  • Experience in automotive and tooling terminology is a plus.
