We are currently searching for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team at our Corporate Quality Team in Old Fort, NC. This position will support our plant quality departments at our North American plants. The position will coordinate with customers, corporate and plants to provide quality support including maintaining quality requirements, resolving issues, and other support as needed.  

Responsibilities Overview:
  • Responsible for the support of APQP, Launch, PPAP, etc.
  • Monitor and assist with quality performance and warranty and other cost reduction efforts.
  • Main Interface with the OEM Customer Supplier Quality Engineers
  • Manage and report out on (as required) customer scorecards, specifically focused on PPM, WC reduction, etc.
  • Ability to handle several programs based on experience.
  • Have knowledge of and ensure customer requirements are understood, communicated to Auria plants, and achieved.
  • Work with Auria Teams to meet Company Quality and Cost objectives.
  • Assist in New Business opportunities by providing APQP planning material and participating in tech reviews.
  • Perform and assist various audit activities.
  • Assist other Quality Team Members as needed.
  • Ability to work with plants on Quality Systems.
  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5-7 years as a Quality Engineer in Automotive or Manufacturing company, preferably plant experience.
  • Exposure working with Automotive OEM base, preferably Volvo, Mercedes, BMW.
  • Experience in Customer Portals
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: 
  • Must be able to travel to North American plants.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards.
