Quality Supervisor

Description

• Address quality concerns on the floor by partnering with Operations, Materials, and Maintenance employees
• Support quality system within the plant including but not limited to: IATF Internal and External Audits, MPPVC/First Piece Approval, Supplier Quality Tracking System, Reporting of Quality Metrics such as Cost of Poor Quality and Audit Results

• Respond timely to all requests from customer, suppliers, and other Auria plants and Corporate Team
• Lead and/or participate in the resolution of quality issues through identification of root cause and implementation and verification of effective, corrective, and preventive action.
• Drive participation of the Layered Process Audit System by training hourly workforce on importance, leading teams to address issues noted, and acting as a subject matter expert to the process
• Develop, justify, and lead the implementation of process quality improvements. Develop, maintain, and deliver training to facilities and corporate entities for quality systems tools and processes.
• Manage QR hold area, working with suppliers to resolve issues and disposition rejected material appropriately
• Manage the coordination of internal sorts/ certifications as required

Education:

• Associates degree preferred or demonstrated work experience within in a manufacturing environment

Experience:

• Requires 1-3 years’ experience in Quality at Tier 1 preferred, 1-3 years’ experience in Quality within a manufacturing environment
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of IATF16949 standards preferred
