Auria is seeking an Engineering co-ops to join our team at our manufacturing facilities in St. Clair, MI (A section), Old Fort, NC (A section), Albemarle, NC (B section) and Sidney, OH (B section). Our co-op program is designed to give participants the opportunity to jump start their career by working closely with our engineering teams to gain hands on experience. The student will support engineering activities within the assigned regions. In alignment within the plant management organization, the co-op will be assigned to support Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Teams tasked with meeting all Auria Manufacturing requirements related to safety, processes, equipment capability and reliability, cost, quality, budget improvement and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support engineering change requests
• Participate in cost saving projects and responsible for reporting                        
• Assist with product launches to achieve timeline milestones for production
• Support continuous improvement activities through time study evaluation, machinery implementation, machinery modification, and plant layout design changes.
• Participate in Kaizen events
• Learn ways to provide technical support to skilled trades and operations related to downtime and machine throughput issues.
• Help ensure all contractors are following the plant safety rules.
• Support required actions based on results from Global Safety Audit
• Participate in corrective actions in regard to machine safety issues as requested.
• Other activities as assigned by Manager

Qualifications

Experience:

• Actively pursuing bachelors degree at Kettering University
• Requires experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
