Job Description

Position Specific Requirements (PSR):

  • Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology
  • Work with Corporate on pricing changes and tracking of purchase savings
  • Apply knowledge of Accounting, QAD software, Internet software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, PLEX, One Stream
  • Process accounts payable
  • Process A/P debits or credits to suppliers
  • Prepare month end journal entries and documentation
  • Monthly inter-company balancing
  • Complete Year End reports and projects
  • Annual audits and C-SOX processes as required
  • Applies principles of cost accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems
  • Ability to read, provide analysis, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and general accounting concepts
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to develop solutions and recommendations
  • Ability to identify financial reporting requirements
  • Excellent computer and communication skills
  • Ability to pay attention to detail

Education:

  • Associates Degree Required

Experience:

  • Requires 1-3 years

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
