Job Description

SUMMARY

The Lead of Costing Management is responsible for:

  • Assisting in standardizing the Lead to Cash (LTC) process, cost model, burden rates and other assumptions for quoting across the globe in Auria, in order to reduce complexity and realize excellence;
  • Leading the global cost estimating team to achieve:
  • Timely and accurately providing the costing and business cases to the commercial team
  • Quick respond to market and provide insights to company (competitiveness)
  • Implement costing system and achieve optimization
  • Database creation
  • Perform investment return tracking in the key milestones of each program
  • Develop succession planning

 RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Prepare cost cards for advance quotes including raw materials, purchased parts, labor and burden.
    • Collaborate with plants on processing cycle times and manning and building business cases
    • Coordinate cost reviews with Plant Manager and entire advance quoting team.
  • Maintain cost cards for post-award programs.
    • Calculate the cost impact of engineering change requests.
    • Run business cases and assist program teams with financial walks for management gateway reviews.
  • Maintain costing database including raw materials, purchased parts, labor/burden rates, CAPX, tooling, etc.
  • Work with Plant Controllers to perform an annual update of burden rates used for quoting including a review the gaps between the two rates
  • Provide costing support for plant Kaizen activities.
  • Implement Facton, including the preparation of a training manual as well as conducting the necessary trainings
  • Perform investment return tracking in the key milestones of each program

 

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, IT, or Auto Industry related majors.
  • 7-10 years of experience in costing related experience, with at least 3+ within the auto industry
  • 2-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Excellent global communication skills, both oral and written; able to express complex ideas in simple terms; strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to rapidly assimilate knowledge of processes and systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple assignments and projects with varying deadlines.
  • Agile and ability to adapt to a quick moving organization
