Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for a multi-functional organization producing tooling and assembly equipment for Auria plants based on specific customer requirements
  • Direct and manage plant operations for production, finance, engineering, materials, quality, human resources, maintenance, and shipping and receiving.
  • Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Manages capital asset maintenance
  • Has P&L responsibility for assigned location(s)
  • Decisions have a significant impact on the business of the Company in terms of costs, schedules, and customer relationships
  • Manage daily operations of the facility
  • Ensure safety and efficiency of the facility
  • Manage and monitor all plant processes
  • Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality and EHS standards
  • Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance metrics
  • Control costs to achieve company budget goals
  • Drive Continuous Improvement to improve key Performance Metrics in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Financial targets
  • Develop and execute annual Capital Spend Plan
  • Develop 5Year Plan for Plant Sales, Operating Income, and Capital Spend
  • Train and Develop plant staff to maximize personal performance initiatives along with company goals and objectives
  • Support Lean initiatives to maximize plant performance
  • Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs
  • Develop and execute New Product Launch plan to ensure successful launches
  • Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
  • Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisor.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

  • BS/BA degree in related field
  • MS/MBA preferred

 

Experience:

  • Requires minimum of 5 years experience

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Candidate should have a strong working knowledge of automotive compression mold tooling including but not limited to castings, fixtures, trim dies, automated processes, tool quoting and vision systems.
  • An understanding of tooling design and how it applies to soft trim parts manufacture is required.
  • Candidate should also possess a working knowledge of open and closed pour foam tooling and processing.
  • Candidate should have an understanding of CAD, CNC machining and managing a tool room.
  • Understanding of general business practices and principles
  • Requires minimal supervision
  • Manages a multi-functional area
  • Demonstrate analytical skills
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to learn technical concepts
