Job Description

Auria is a leading global supplier of automotive acoustical and textile solutions. Formed in 2017 as a joint venture between Shanghai Shenda Co., Ltd., and International Automotive Components (IAC) Group, Auria is built on a 150-year transportation industry heritage.

Our product line includes highly engineered acoustical solutions for interior noise reduction, textile-based and compression-molded flooring products and other interior soft trim products, including package trays, trunk trim and wheel arch liners. Auria operates 25 manufacturing and 10 commercial, engineering and testing and tooling facilities in 11 countries and has nearly 5,000 employees worldwide.

We are currently searching to add an Operations Manager to our St Clair, MI Team. The Operations Manager will lead the Operations Team (3 Supervisors) to ensure customer requirements are met on daily basis.  

General Responsibilities:

  • Manages professional employees on the operations team.
  • Manages, monitors, and controls material, labor, and overhead costs in respective area. 
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. 
  • Has overall accountability for the performance of the operations team.
  • Develops, reviews, and maintains budgets and expenses for the department.
  • Maintains appropriate level of staff support necessary to meet business goals and objectives.  Monitors productivity and recommends changes where necessary.
  • Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and/or customers.
  • Supports and complies with TS 16949, ISO 14001, and EHS standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Works with other managers to achieve continuous improvement and cost reduction objectives.
  • Develops and supports a dynamic working relationship with the UAW Committee members and ensures contract provisions are followed.

 

 

Job Requirements

Education:

  • BS/BA required

Experience:

  • Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience (Tier 1 Automotive experience preferred)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook) 
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Working knowledge of the TS16949 and ISO14001 standards
  • Previous experience within a Union Environment
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends, as required
  • Must be able to work on all shifts, as required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a union shop is preferred
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
