Position Specific Requirements (PSR):

Auria (formerly IAC) has an opening for an Operations Manager within our Holmesville, OH facility.

Auria is a leading global supplier of automotive acoustical and textile solutions. Formed in 2017 as a joint venture between Shanghai Shenda Co., Ltd., and International Automotive Components (IAC) Group, Auria is built on a 150-year transportation industry heritage.

Our product line includes highly engineered acoustical solutions for interior noise reduction, textile-based and compression-molded flooring products and other interior soft trim products, including package trays, trunk trim and wheel arch liners. Auria operates 20 manufacturing and ten commercial, engineering and testing and tooling facilities in 11 countries and has over 5,000 employees worldwide.

  • Ensure a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complies with all occupational health, safety and environmental laws.
  • Develop and foster and environment that creates high employee motivation through positive communication and excellent leadership.
  • Drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives at all levels across the organization.
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve plant goals and financial targets.
  • Achieve and maintain product quality and delivery service levels equal to or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Create and manage operational plans that deliver productivity gains through process improvement across all elements of the business.
  • Participate in budgeting and monthly forecasting process for the plant. Develop plans to achieve the forecasted labor amounts.
  • Manage the plant OEE tracking and work with the Engineering department to prioritize and improve OEE’s throughout the plant.
  • Support launch process by participating in the planning process, reviews and pre- production builds.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key business/operational contacts.
  • Ensure high level of operational quality.
  • Perform all aspects of performance management.  Initiate appropriate action using in-house performance management procedures.
  • Assist and manage the delivery of key projects that have an impact on operations.
  • Determine and monitor performance and service levels. Ensure that services are delivered within agreed resources.
  • Implement continuous improvement activities within departments.
  • Create a work environment that drives continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Ensure effective coordination across all operations functions.

 

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering is required
  • MBA is preferred

Experience:

  • Requires 5 - 7 years of relevant experience as a leader in a manufacturing environment
  • A minimum of 3 years experience as an Operations Manager in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Tier 1 automotive experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Must have the ability to lead and motivate people
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to present information to all levels in the organization
  • Ability to read, write and perform non-complex mathematical calculations
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, multi-task and follow direction
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and experience with Toyota Production System.
  • Experience with Six Sigma is preferred
