Human Resources Summer Internship in Southfield at Auria

Auria is a leading global supplier of automotive acoustical and textile solutions. Formed in 2017 as a joint venture between Shanghai Shenda Co., Ltd., and International Automotive Components (IAC) Group, Auria is built on a 150-year transportation industry heritage.

Our product line includes highly engineered acoustical solutions for interior noise reduction, textile-based and compression-molded flooring products, and other interior soft trim products, including package trays, trunk trim and wheel arch liners. Auria operates 18 manufacturing and 10 commercial, engineering and testing and tooling facilities in 10 countries and has nearly 4,700 employees worldwide.

Auria is seeking a Human Resources Intern to join our Human Resources Department at our Corporate Office in Southfield, MI. This Intern will have the opportunity to support Human Resources Initiatives, such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compliance, Engagement, and other generalist responsibilities.

Auria’s HR Internship will provide insight into how a Human Resources Department is a business partner for the organization and help provide real world experiences for a successful career within Human Resources.  

The Human Resources Intern will be exposed to:

• Talent Acquisition and the recruitment process within an automotive supplier
• Human Resources Generalist responsibilities
• Sourcing and Onboarding of new candidates
• Continuous Improvement activities within a Human Resources Department
• Compliance with federal, state law and regulations, and company policy and procedures
• Corporate support of plants
• Employee Engagement activities

Potential Areas of Responsibility:

• Actively participate in the recruitment and onboarding process by sourcing and screening candidates, scheduling and participating in interviews, coordinating preemployment screening and orientation.
• Assisting in the maintenance of electronic HR Systems
• Support Auria HR Team as assigned on various projects
• Perform administrative HR work as assigned
• Maintains strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, within the Human Resources Department
• Supporting our open-door culture by greeting employees, answering questions and inquires, or referring to the appropriate resource
• Other duties as assigned
