Job Description

Position Specific Requirements (PSR):

  • Completing control systems design, specification, programming, troubleshooting, and start-up assistance of automated and robotic systems.
    • Start-up assistance includes on-site support at Auria facilities in all parts of North America
  • Shared responsibility for Engineering Facility electrical requirements, including switchgear, substations, load balancing, and Arc-Safe ratings.
  • Programming of Allen-Bradley PLC’s and Siemens S7 PLC’s.
  • Programming and tuning of Ultrasonic welding systems and related components
  • Programming of and integration with Yaskawa robots
  • Experience with I/O configurations, including discreet, analog, Ethernet, and servo motion control required
  • Experience with Visual Basic, Keyence cameras, and laser measurement / detection systems preferred
  • Knowledge of computers and networking and able to assist the IT Department with various production related needs, including bar code reading, label printing, and OEM computer software installations.
  • Creation of panel layouts, electrical schematics, BOM’s
  • Creation of Control System specifications for purchased capital equipment
  • Performing panel building for electrical panels used on capital equipment


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in engineering leadership, ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as strong documentation skills.  This person will have technical and project management responsibilities related to program launch, capital equipment design and purchasing, and equipment upgrade and retrofit activities.


Job Requirements


  • BS/BA required


  • Requires 5+ years in engineering or manufacturing


  • PC Hardware setup, troubleshooting, maintaining
  • Basic LAN knowledge and functionality (TCP/IP)
  • Basic LAN hardware knowledge (switches, cabling, routers)
  • Software installation/upgrading
  • Network printing
  • Basic AD knowledge (disable users, change passwords)
  • Windows 7
  • Installing / troubleshooting label printers and hand held scanners
  • Backup exec (or similar software)
  • Ability to read and update electrical schematic drawings
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and systems involving Urethane reaction injection molding, Rotational dry cast cells, Vacuum forming, Paint cells, Laser scoring, water jets, sonic and vibration welding and others
  • Experience Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Siemens and Omron PLC/HMI systems
  • Industrial protocols such as Ethernet, Profibus, RS-232, Devicenet, DH+
  • Strong deductive reasoning/problem solving skills
  • Visual Basic or other software design is a plus
  • AutoCAD design software
