Job Description

  • Provide Leadership to the plant in the methods of continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve the plants CI Road Maps
  • Develop and implement plans to achieve the plants Lean Annual Plan
  • Create a work environment that drives continuous improvement and employee engagement
  • Maintain reporting and accuracy of Kaizen Measurables and CI metrics, including on time administration of AURIA Production System.
  • Drive improvement actions based on results from Global Safety Audit
  • Complete S.A.F.E. audit weekly.
  • Participate in the plant safety committee meetings
  • Support and mentor Green and Black Belts
  • Participate in accountability meeting daily. It is expected that the Operations Manager should drive this meeting. Your role is to support and ensure cooperation between departments in addressing in issues.
  • Facilitate the development of / and manage timely and accurate data entry into the CI Roadmap
  • Coordinate the development of the plant lean annual plan
  • Update Plant Lean Annual Plan monthly
  • Update cash call presentation
  • Update SMED information in SMED database monthly
  • Update regrind information in database monthly
  • Insure Kaizen events are being planned and communicated through facilitating The Plant CI Steering Committee Meeting,
  • Function as a change agent by utilizing Lean tolls to implement cost improvement activities
  • Facilitate Kaizen Events as needed and when needed
  • Schedule events using Kaizen Event Planner on Auria Connect
  • Host the event using the Auria Connect 1.5 day training
  • Document the event using the 10 Step Method
  • Report Out the event accomplishments to key leadership and related team members
  • Load the documented projects into CIPT on Auria Connect
  • Post project to visual boards and train all relative team members
  • Follow open action items to completion
  • Support all Kaizen report outs within the plant.
  • Coordinate Fresheyes activities in the plant
  • Support sister plants in continuous improvement activity
  • Follow AURIA problem solving process
  • Manage AURIA Production system audit and action documentation
  • Follow the ten step Kaizen process
  • Enter Kaizen case study documentation into CIPT
  • Enter SS or SE project case study documentation in CIPT

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Education:

  • BS/BA required

Experience:

  • Requires 5+ years experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Requires limited supervision
  • Must have plant operations experience, including day to day and/or equivalent experience.
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
